Message from the Chancellor Commander:
Benjamin N. Cardozo Lodge #163/157 Knights of Pythias has
been part of the Fair Lawn scene for over 50 years. This non-sectarian fraternal
order was established on three major principles contained in our emblem as "F"
(Friendship), "C" (Charity), & "B" (Benevolence).
Our mission is to provide men of character the opportunity
to help those in need. The charitable efforts we support are varied. Monies are
raised to support local and national charitable organizations such as Cystic
Fibrosis, Deborah Heart & Lung Hospital, Cancer Care, Volunteer Ambulance, and
Fire Departments in the hometowns of our members. We also volunteer our time to
support local programs such as Club Fun for special needs kids, and holiday
parties at places such as the Oakland Care Center. We also sponsor a circus for
special needs adults and kids each year.
The organization offers our members some medical benefits
and an opportunity to make new friends, but it is our Charitable and Benevolent
work that keeps us vibrant and is the drawing force to add new members
interested in the opportunity to participate in our good work.
If you are interested in joining our organization, please contact our
membership chairman, Sir Barry Winston at 201-906-4966 or email us at
cardozospeaks@hotmail.com.
